Kris Lopez has served as a Staff Auditor in the City Auditor’s Office since June 2007. He has conducted performance audits of various City Department programs and special projects such as the Cost Benefit Analysis of Wheel Clamping. Prior to working for the City Auditor’s Office, he worked in public accounting conducting financial statement audits of governmental and nonprofit entities.
Kris holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, San Bernardino. While at CSUSB, he served as the Vice President of the honor society, Beta Alpha Psi. He is currently a member of the Association of Local Government Auditors (ALGA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Kris is a veteran of the United States Navy and has served onboard USS Lake Champlain.
