Terra K. VanAndel, CFE
Terra Van Andel currently serves as the Audit Manager in the Long Beach City Auditor’s Office. Throughout her four years in the City Auditor’s Office, Terra has worked on numerous performance audits such as the Long Beach Museum of Art Capital Campaign Audit, the Long Beach Museum of Art Inventory Audit, the Contract Performance Audit of the Long Beach Sea Festival, the American Golf Audit, and the FY2007 Proposition H Audit. Other projects include the establishment of internal policy and procedures within the Auditor’s Office and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with Government Auditing Standards.
Prior to joining the City Auditor’s Office in 2005, Terra worked for a large accounting firm serving clients throughout Orange County and the Greater Los Angeles area. She has over nine years of auditing and accounting experience during a career devoted to public accounting and tax services for a variety of organizations.
Terra received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Arkansas State University and is also a licensed Certified Fraud Examiner. She is currently a member of the Association of Local Government Auditors, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
