Danielle Mitchell joined the City Auditor’s Office as an Audit Manager in December 2011, and had been the Financial Services Officer for Long Beach Gas & Oil since June 2010.

Danielle has an extensive background in accounting, financial analysis, strategic planning, organizational change, and human resources in the private sector. She began her career in the tax department of Arthur Andersen & Co. and has worked in a variety of corporate finance and human resources roles. After receiving her MBA, she worked for Hewitt and Deloitte in their Human Resources Strategies Consulting practices. Prior to joining the City, she worked as a VP, Compensation & Benefits for a global consulting company.

Danielle received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Southern Methodist University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Merage School of Business at University of California, Irvine.
