The Association
of Local Government Auditors (ALGA) announced
recently that the Long Beach City Auditor’s Website
received the second place Silver Award in its first
annual national Website awards competition. The
award was presented today to City Auditor Doud at ALGA’s annual national conference in Philadelphia.
“This
award is very meaningful to me because upon taking
office less than two years ago my goal was to
provide transparency and usable information to the
citizens of Long Beach,” responded Long Beach City
Auditor Laura Doud. “We developed a very
user-friendly yet comprehensive Website as one of
the cornerstones of meeting this goal.”
The City
Auditor’s Website,
www.CityAuditorLauraDoud.com,
was launched on
June 21, 2007 and can be accessed directly or
through the City’s Website.
“To
receive a national award from our peers in the
auditing profession after less than a year of our
Website being online is a great tribute to our team
and the Website we have created, “ Doud commented,
“We are very pleased to receive this award of
recognition for our efforts.”
The Long
